Sunday Stills - Rocks

This week's challenge was rocks. My husband and I were looking for a new gun range to sight in our rifles and practice shooting and got a little lost . . . we found this really awesome river and I got a lot of awesome shots. :D

This is the little rock path we walked to get across (water is low because this summer was dry).

I love how the water is so clear you can see the rocks below. :)

I love the reflection of the clouds in the water. It turned out so clear!

Sunday Stills - Vanishing Points

This week's Sunday Stills challenge was disappearing points. Check out the Sunday Stills blog to see examples. I was incredibly busy so was only able to get drive-by shots of roads and fences. Not great, but at least I didn't miss another week. :)

And the bonus is that the falls colors are coming out!! So pretty!

Sunday Stills - On the Road

This week's Sunday Stills challenge was to take pictures of roads. I thought it would be too easy and completely boring, but I wanted to do it anyway since I've missed a few weeks. I decided to go for a drive and snap a few photos, thinking two or three would be enough. I took my husband (he drove so I could take pictures) and Jackal along for company and it turned out to be a very relaxing and productive drive. I took 127 pictures! Here are the best ones.

First a picture of Jackal on the way home after we took a walk with a neighbor's horses to visit the cute foals born this year.

He tried to chase down three cute female Beagles so he was panting pretty hard when he got in the car. Brat. :D

I really wasn't expecting roads to be interesting or fun subject matter, but it really was.

This challenge made me slow down and really look for the beauty around me.

And yes there is beauty everywhere, even in roads.

This is actually someone's driveway! Jealous! :D

Jackal had so much fun he had to take a nap with me on the couch.
I love how his rope toy and bone are sitting next to the cell phone lol.

I gave him a bath when we got back and he's so soft and cuddly.

Sunday Stills - The Letter B

This week for Sunday Stills we were challenged to take pictures of things starting with the letter B. I had fun taking my camera to town with me to get some pictures. I found more B things than I expected. :D

I bet you never would have guessed. The restaurant next to where I work gives me their old stale bread and I let the chickens eat it. They like to eat the crust first. I like all the little chicken beak dents. :)
