Jackal impressed me this morning! Thanks to their barking we went outside and met our neighbor who'd shot a deer with a bow and was tracking it. He'd followed the blood trail to our lease land, so we decided to take Jackal with us to help find the deer. We showed Jackal the blood trail and he went crazy sniffing the area. He finally started to follow a trail and led us right to the thicket where she was. I didn't have a camera and had to hurry off to work so I didn't get a picture. The one above is a random picture from Google. I was so proud of Jackal. Maybe our squirrel dog would prefer to be a deer dog hehe. :)

Deer Tracker

A Tag
I got tagged by Elrania so let the fun begin hehe. Oh and sorry it took me so long to do it Elrania. :)
When can you remember laughing the hardest?
When I went to a comedy club with friends a week or two ago. And the comedians weren't that funny lol. We laughed more afterward at dinner. I love those girls!
What is one thing you're exited about for tomorrow?
Um . . . nothing really. Maybe I should think of something to be excited about . . . hmmm . . .
How many posters are in your bedroom?
None. Our stupid house has genuine stucco walls and I can't hang anything. :)
What is one place you'd rather be right now?
On horseback riding down a mountain trail somewhere.
What can you smell right now?
Nothing. My allergies are BAD right now. :)
Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
Probably my dad.
What is the corniest movie you've ever seen?
Wow I have no idea. I don't really like corny movies so it's been so long I don't remember lol.
If you could choose one food to live off the rest of your life, never mind nutrition, what would it be?
Like food group or specific food? If it's a food group definitely candy, specifically skittles! Yum!
Where are you going next?
Work. Yuck!

National Novel Writing Month
Is anyone else out there getting geared up for the National Novel Writing Month of November? If you don't know what I'm talking about check out the NaNoWriMo forum here and my entries to my old blog about it last year here. Basically it's a challenge to amateur and professional writers everywhere to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. It's a lot of fun and if you'd like to join all of the information is at the link I posted above. Last year I made it by the skin on my teeth. This year I'm going into it far more prepared. I'd been writing my character sketches, time lines and plots out for a week now. There's only a month to go and the excitement is already building. I absolutely love NaNoWriMo! So wish me luck. I'll be updating on my progress regularly throughout November. :)
