2016 Reading Challenge - Book Scrabble - November & December - Challenge Complete!

I think I burned myself out on reading, because I only read one book in all of November and December!!  Luckily it was the last one I needed for the Scrabble challenge.

Dead Before the Wedding was a cute little cozy mystery, but it didn't hold my interest very well and the ending was anticlimactic.  That's probably why it took so long to finish.  It finished off my D book requirement and earned 2 points.

So my total is 136 points!  I didn't have a goal or anything, but over 100 is pretty cool.  :D  Mom hasn't added hers up yet, so I don't know who made more yet.  That was a really fun challenge.  I'm still undecided if I want to do a challenge for 2017.

P.S.  I'm moving the old reading challenges and my 30 Before 30 list to the bucket list page instead of leaving it in the side bar.

Merry Christmas!!

Sorry I'm back posting my Christmas post because I've been too busy to get it up.  :D

Flowers on Christmas!

Want to know what my favorite thing was about Christmas??  The temperature!!!

So lovely.  It actually got into the seventies.  It was awesome!!!  We went out of state, further south to my in-law's for Christmas.  It was a fun visit.  While it was cold and rainy back home we were enjoying gorgeous weather down south. :D  There isn't much else to say, so I'll just share some pictures I took.

My brother-in-law's gorgeous Catahoula, Buckshot.

His old female Granny.  I think she is eleven now.
She doesn't like cameras which is the reason for the look on her face.

Their garden is still growing strong, even with two frosts (only two before Christmas!!).

I tried to convince my hubby we need a little dog after he spent quality time with his niece's dog Taz.

Then we went to a huge Christmas lights display.  These pictures don't do it justice.  It was huge!

The string of blue lights went around the entire lake!

At their house I went for a walk in the woods with hubby, brother-in-law and Buckshot.  I enjoyed seeing what different foliage grows there.

 Very strange mushrooms were found.

We were also looking for and gathering different species of nuts and acorns to bring home to Jack.  I reached down to grab this one....

A snail!! Isn't he cool!

Luckily I realized what it was before I grabbed it lol.  Pretty cool find on Christmas!  :D

Well that's all for my belated Christmas post.  I didn't get very many pictures because I was too busy enjoying the company.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Jackal Puppy Pictures

Does anyone remember how freaking adorable Jackal was as a puppy???

Soaked from playing in his pool.

 He loved Frisbee!

OMG soaked Jackal puppy straight out of the bath!!

 He LOVED his pool!

He loves going fishing with us.

Adorable just isn't a strong enough word!!

 Those ears!

 Sleeping on hubby's chest.

Catching toads out of the pool the ducks made nasty lol.

 Spoiled rotten!

Sitting by the wood stove to stay warm.

 Seriously spoiled!!

If I was on the couch he was piled up on, next to or behind me (like above).

 Rotten and he knows it.

Just because I can't get enough below are some of my favorite pictures of Jackal over the years.

I was cleaning my horse tack and he wouldn't move... so cute!

That was a fun walk down memory lane.  I need to get some current pictures of him.  I've been so bad about not taking pictures lately...
