NaNo Update - I'm Finished (for real this time!)

I finished writing 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org)!!!  I actually have 50,252 words.  :)  I haven't even thought of a name for my second book, but I can tell you I already love it and the characters.  I'm definitely planning to edit it and not just put it in my throw away folder (that I never actually delete).  In fact since there are still eight days left of November I'm going to keep writing.  I have no idea how much I will actually get written, but I'm having so much fun with this story I'm going to keep going until November ends or maybe even beyond.  :)

So my first story was 26,573 words and my second one is 23,679 words so far.  The second one was so much more fun to write.  :)  I'm definitely not quitting now!

I hope everyone who is trying NaNo this year is doing well and I wish you success in completing your novel in thirty days.  :)  It's late and I'm cross eyed from staring at the computer screen for so long, so I'm going to bed.  Night!

  2. Aww you might want to check it. They have the word validator up or you can use something like wordcounter.net. I thought I was way behind too, but was pleasantly surprised by how much I had written when I checked it. Don't give up! You can still do it. :D

  3. I'm about 9000 words from the end. I made it my goal this year to actually reach 50,000 - my previous story kind of died at 32000. I don't know if I will attempt to publish this one, but I'm proud of having written it!

  4. Congratulations! I might be able to start up working on my novel again this week, because school is out, but I've still got a ton of homework and lots of company coming over. November has always been one of my busiest months.

  5. That's awesome Sam! I hate when my stories fizzle out on me early lol. That's why I did two this years. I looked it up and it's not against the rules for NaNo!

NuzMuz, I hope you get to start working on it again. November has normally been busy for me in the past too which is why I didn't even try last year, but this year it wasn't, so it worked out well. :)
