Bad News

The small town where I grew up was basically destroyed by tornadoes last night. My family that still lives there is okay, but the town itself has been devastated. They won't have power for a week. All of the businesses are destroyed or shut down (because of no electricity). Over eighty houses are damaged or destroyed. Four people died. My hometown is basically gone. :( They aren't letting anyone into the city so I can't go see my family. They are okay though and that's what is important.

    We're sure saying a lot of prayers for everyone. It's been such a horrid season for storms. We're thankful that your family is OK!

    Oh, that is so tragic...I am so sorry. I'm glad your family is fine, but how horrible for everyone in the town.

    Oh no! How awful! I'm so sorry - I get very attached to places too so I can imagine how terrible you must be feeling...your own hometown! But I'm glad to hear that everyone, especially your family, is safe. I hope they restore normal access soon so you can get in touch with your family.

    Oh Goodness!! So glad your family is ok, even if your hometown has been hit hard. Hoping you can get there to see them soon, or at very least make contact with them soon!!
