Video Update Jackal's Monthly Tricks

I posted a video here showing one of our worst training sessions to date and now I have a video update of our progress. This video was done yesterday and there was only one other session between the two videos (see here). It went much better this time! Can you believe the progress he's made in only three sessions?


I'm so proud of my smart boy. :D

    Dogs are much cuter than horses when it comes to clicker training. I have a fanny pack that carries treats and my clicker. I entered the paddock wearing that yesterday and was royally mugged. Lostine was biting at every part of my body that moved (with just her lips, fortunately). I'll have to use clicker training to train them to stand back and wait respectfully.

    He's such a smart boy! I see, you wait for the most part for him to do the behavior without actually telling him the behavior, letting him use his own mind to figure it out. It seems like that would be hard. I feel I need to talk to Fred to get him to understand what I want him to do. I still need to work more with him.
