Happy Halloween!

I went back to my home town for a party at the stable where I used to work, feeding and exercising horses. I got to see all of my old friends. We always have a costume parade for the horses and their owners on Halloween. The costumes were great even though participation was low this year. I can't post pictures because I don't have permission. Trust me though they were great. I dressed up even though I didn't have a horse at the stable and couldn't participate in the little parade. I dressed in an eighties getup. It was fun! I had the sideways ponytail with bunches of scrunchies, a gray sequined mini skirt, fishnet tights and leg warmers. Oh and plenty of bangles and jelly bracelets. :) It was cool.

So it was a fun, interesting last day of October. This year has gone by soooo quickly! Wish me luck for NaNo and please continue to keep my husband in your thoughts! We really need his back to get better so he can go back to work. I can't get Chrome gelded or have his teeth done until we have our regular income again.

  1. Good luck with NaNo! Hope your husband feels better soon - sending good thoughts. My Pie has not had dental yet and he is 4 1/2 - we're working on that!

  2. Sorry to hear your husband is still not feeling well. I hope he recovers soon.

As for teeth floating, he'll be fine. Many young horses seem to do fine for the first several years without dentals. (Although I'd get the vet/dentist to look at his teeth if he seems like his mouth is bothering him or if he's not maintaining weight.)

  3. Happy Howl-o-ween to all of you!

We also send healing prayers for your husband. We hope that he gets better soon.

  4. Glad to hear you had a great time, sounds like a fun party. It's good to kick back and relax as you've had such a hard time recently.

Still sending lots of positive vibes for your husbands back and best of luck with the NaNo :)

  5. meant to add Robin at stichin in hitchins has also done your tag :)

  6. I grew up on the 80s, and the only thing I wore that you wore for the party was the leg warmers. Wait a minute, I am still wearing those leg warmers on the cold days. I am quite the fashion embarrassment.

I'm glad you had fun. It sounds like a great time.

I hope your husband's back starts to improve. I bet he is very frustrated.

As long as Chrome is behaving, don't worry about the gelding. Cole was gelded at 4 with no problems, and he was quite the gentleman before and after the operation. I wouldn't worry too much about the teeth, either.

Hey, thanks for visiting! We would love to hear from you so please leave a comment.
