Jackal Must Learn! - Please vote!
Jackal has become a total couch potato and I'm completely unmotivated. We are a sight! So here's an idea I had. Every month I'm going to put up a poll giving you a choice of four tricks. I want you guys to pick which one I should teach. Then I'll have three weeks to make as much progress as we can. I'll try to do weekly updates and try to make a video of the finished product. I'm starting out with some really easy ones because we haven't learned anything new in like a year! So please vote. You have a week. Also if you think of any tricks you can leave a comment with them and I'll add them to the list. Then they might make it to the poll next time. I'm hoping this will get me motivated to start training again. As I get back into it I might even do it with Storm too!!

I saw this trick where the dog fetches a tissue when you sneeze. It's really advanced, but I hope someday I'll be able to my own dog how to do it.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea :)
ReplyDeleteoh fun! I've decided to spend more time this fall training Ginger. (Unfortunately) I often also neglect her training. She learns best in short sessions, so if we can squeeze in a 5-10 minute session twice a day, we actually can make pretty good progress in a week.
ReplyDeleteI vote for the leg weaves. :)
I tried teaching this to Ginger about a year ago, and could never get it.
Tried again last weekend, worked on it quite a bit on Sat and Sunday and she was doing it (fairly) decently by Mon.
Here's a video clip of her practicing :)

Let me know if this is what you choose--and I'll give you some tips that helped us.
cheers,
Mary
I've voted for the weave too, I think that looks such a cool thing to learn and can't wait to see how you get on :) Unfortunately I'm not able to do that with my dogs as they're all too big and my legs are too short lol!
ReplyDeleteWe voted for crawl because PeeWee is working on that one at his fun times school, so we can both see how it goes at the end of the month.

Sorry I'm so late! I've just voted! :-) I voted for leg weaving coz Jackal is so fast - I'll bet he would look fantastic!
