Last October my hubby and I went out of town for a few days (which we spent mostly fishing lol) and near to where we were staying there were several Buffalo!!! I meant to post the pictures and somehow never got around to it, so I figured since today is B for the A to Z challenge that Buffalo would be perfect. :D The pictures aren't great because it was windy and I had to zoom in as far as my camera would go since they were across the road out in the middle of their pasture. There was also a goat, a camel, a Scottish Highland bull and what looked like a Beefalo (which is a buffalo crossed with a cow or bull). Here are the pictures.
The Scottish Highland bull. This is our favorite breed of cattle so we were just as excited to see him.
Female buffalo on right and on the left is what we think is a beefalo.
See the camel in the background?
Does she look like a beefalo to you?
I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I had so much fun taking them even though everyone driving by was staring at me like I was crazy hehe. :D
Love the 'living' bucket list of things to do before 30.. might steal that idea, but will have to change the age range!!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling I'm going to love following your A to Z challenge!

Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteArran you should totally do the 30 Before 30 list! Or whatever age range. When I turn thirty I'm going to do a 40 Before 40 list too. :D I'm bad about just falling into my normal daily routine and letting life slip me by, so my list helps me focus on trying and learning new things. :D I haven't accomplished a lot on this list because I only started it a couple of years ago when I first heard about it. I'll have a lot more time to complete my next list.
love these photos! Some farmers out here grow buffalo and I have tasted it, but for me I'd just as soon just enjoy how they are out in the field. Lovely animals. and where the heck did that camel come from?
ReplyDeleteI have no clue where the camel came from!! I had no idea they could be kept as pets outside of a zoo. I didn't talk to the owners since we were just driving by so I don't know anything about them.
ReplyDeleteWow. Love the topic and your pictures. Much to revel in at your blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome blog, glad I found you on the Challenge list. I look forward to visiting again!
ReplyDeleteAww thank you guys. You're so sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Scottish Highland too! They are the cutest! And of course who doesn't get excited when they see Buffalo? Very fun!
ReplyDeletehowdy - thanks for visiting my blog. Buffalo are just freaky cool. I can imagine them thundering along on the Texas terrain way long ago. It's rather sad that they got obliterated due to greed. Great pics and I look forward to more A to Z posts
ReplyDeleteCamel and buffalo? Too funny. I'd have been snapping pics too. Great job!
ReplyDeleteA beefalo, that is something new to me. I remember being caught in a traffic jam in Colorado (I think, I did sooo many National Parks that trip!) whilst a herd of buffalo sauntered across the road. There is something so beautiful about animals in the wild doing their thing.
