My husband grew up hunting with .22s, shotguns and rifles. Then he got into security work where he got to shoot really cool guns like an M2 .50 Cal. that you would have to have a special license to own. While working security he also was involved in competitive shooting. I've been to a few competitions and it's actually really cool (but LOUD!). Now he just goes to the gun range with me to shoot at targets. Here are pictures of our guns. The lighting in the house sucks and I was using flash, so the pictures are kind of weird.
In-Line Muzzleloader 50 Cal. with fiber optic sights.
This is a left hand Remington CDL 270 Winchester with Nikon 2x7x32 xcope.
SKS 7.62X39 with composite stock.
AR10 308 Winchester with Simmons 3x9x40 scope.
Marlin Model 60 .22 LR with a BSA Sweet .22 Scope.
This is MY .22! I love it! :D
Top: .22 Side Cock Springer Air Rifle with BSA Sweet Air Rifle Scope
Bottom: Crosman American Classic 1377 .177 Cal. with optional shoulder stock.
These both shoot pellets. Mine is the Crosman.
EAA Witness .40 Cal. 1911 Chassis
This is my favorite pistol! LOVE it!
Ruger 77 .22 Magnum with Simmons 3x9x40 scope.
Norinco .22 LR with see through scope mounts and Tasco 3x9x32 scope.
Traditions Fox River .50 Cal. Muzzleloader.
I think that's all of them. I might have missed some since we moved LOL! Like I said we love guns. Also here is a picture of Jackal watching us photograph our guns.
It's not a very good picture, but Jackal is NOT one of those dogs that is scared of guns. When he sees a gun he gets all excited because he thinks we're going after coons or possums hehe. The boy is a true hound dog! That's all for today. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's G posts!
New Follower here stopping by from the A to Z challenge. I really enjoyed readying you post. I don't know much about guns, but it was a lot of fun reading about them. Thanks for sharing! I'm excited to read more from you! :)
ReplyDeletekapow! this post was a blast!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious! I wish I could go out in the woods and shoot at pine trees instead of the stinky indoor range.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
Thanks guys! MM, I've never gone to an indoor range, but I can imagine why they wouldn't be much fun. I love the outdoor shooting ranges. We have them in state parks around here. Maybe you can find one near you?
ReplyDeleteI love shooting at targets too! .22 rifle is my fav.
ReplyDeleteI took Shooting Sports for my required Physical Education credit my sophomore year of community college. A number of people have been surprised when I said that was an option for my gym credit, and even more surprised when I said the school was in Massachusetts. Our coach was a hoot, with all his funny stories and unintentionally hilarious "safety tips" that were sometimes common sense, sometimes so outlandish you'd never expect to encounter them. One time I came early to class and overheard him giving a "golf safety lesson" to someone in his other class. That included such gems as "Don't throw golf clubs."
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that is the most awesome gym credit ever!!! And your coach cracked me up! Don't throw the golf club, best advice ever, but so ruins all the fun hehehehe.
