Seven things about me . . .
1. Hmm . . . let me think . . . I take a book with me everywhere! Literally. If it doesn't fit in my purse I put it in my car. Most of the smaller ones fit though. I'm reading the second book in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and it's huge, but it still fits. :) I love my books. If I get caught by a train I read, if I'm waiting at the dentist's office I read, etc.
2. I am fascinated by sign language. My brother can't speak so he uses it a little bit and that's what got me interested in it in the first place. Unfortunately I have very poor short term memory so to help me learn sign language I learn the words to songs. For some reason this really helps me remember it . . . unfortunately it also means I have no idea how to sign things like what is your name or how are you lol. I've always been bad about skipping the basics. :D
3. I love making people happy! I'm a total people pleaser. I can't stand to see someone sad so I will do everything in my power to cheer them up. I try to always be helpful and understanding. This has on occasion led me to being taken advantage of, but I've also made some really great friends. :) Being a naturally shy person at least this makes me put myself out there. :)
4. I can't stand to be alone. It probably stems from the fact I'm a twin or it could just be because I'm an extrovert. When I'm alone I get bored soooo quickly and I also tend to worry on whatever is stressing me out at the moment. I guess I never really learned to play by myself as a kid lol. Usually if I'm alone I resort to number one . . . reading!!
5. I'm very punctual. I can't stand tardiness in myself or other people. In fact that was one of my biggest pet peeves with my husband back when we were dating lol. It's also one of my biggest pet peeves at the job. I can understand being late every once in a while because stuff comes up, but there is no excuse for habitual tardiness! You know your schedule! You know where your job is located! Get there. On time! Sorry for the soap box moment lol.
6. I'm a goody two shoes and always have been. I don't drink, smoke, gamble, do drugs, etc. I think one of my only over indulgences (besides computer time lol) is sugar. I have a horrible sweet tooth. I'm working on it, but it's difficult because sugar truly is addictive. At least it helps me to empathize with and offer support to people who do smoke cigarettes and might being trying to quit, etc.
7. I think I've mentioned this one before but I hate spending money! I like having new things, but it's like squeezing water from a rock to make me actually let go of the money. I'm not stingy or anything like that, I just worry a lot about having an emergency and not having the money to go to the hospital or not being able to make the house payment and losing the house. Weird stuff like that. If I don't have some money saved up I get really panicky about finances. With extra money put away I will relax and spend money to go to the movies or something like that.
Wow, fifteen bloggers is a lot . . . I think I would like to award all of my followers because they are the incredible people who keep me blogging and offer advice and encouragement when I need it. Without you guys I wouldn't even be blogging right now because I'm sure I would have lost interest a long time ago. I love reading your blogs and I love getting comments from you and hearing your ideas and stories. :)

I hope I didn't miss anyone. It says I have thirty followers, one of them is me . . . yes I follow my own blog. It's so I can see what it looks like in my Google reader, it's not because I'm a narcissist lol. I only have twenty eight listed so I'm missing someone but it isn't showing me who. Anyway since you all follow you should see this in your queue so I'm not going to do number four lol. I'm not following the rules anyway since I'm only supposed to list fifteen. :D Anyway you guys are fantastic and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about yourselves.
Thanks - it's fun to learn more about you!
ReplyDeleteI like you more all the time. Too bad you don't live in Cleveland We would have a great time riding together. I am hooked on sugar, too, hate tardiness and have been called "cheap" by most of my family members. (And they are a frugal bunch.) And I can never get enough time to read everything I want to read!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award! Always good to get to know bloggers better and this is sure one way to do it!
ReplyDeleteYay! An award! It's been a while since we've had one of these circulating around. It's good to know more about you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award! Nice to get to know you a little better.
ReplyDeleteI've read the Robert Jordan series all the way through the 10th book. What's that, 10,000 pages or more?? Great series, although it really starts getting draggy in the 10th book. I've got books 11 and 12 in my possession to read next. I just don't find as much time to read as I used to, because of the internet, I'll bet. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your info. I noticed that you are on my blog roll but I guess I never signed up as your follower?
Oh yeah- duh! Congratulations on your award!!
ReplyDeleteVery Very cool!! Congrats!!!!!!!
