The Lake

I'm interrupting my regularly scheduled program to show you all the pictures from the lake the other day. I had so much fun. The weather was beautiful. We sat out on the dock and just enjoyed the wonderful nature around us. Check out these pictures. I think they turned out great. :) Well, some of them the lighting was off, but what can you do?

I was so excited! I got about ten or fifteen yards from this Great Blue Heron. It was so awesome! He never flew away scared or anything, he just slowly walked away.

This buzzard played in the strong wind currents for about twenty minutes. It was so cool watching him have so much fun. He was flying into the wind which was blowing so hard that he would literally be floating in place, then he would turn into it and fly really fast in a circle to do it again. It was so cool. He definitely was not hunting. He was playing.

After about twenty minutes he had to take a break on one of the pavilions. :)

I found this little piece (about the size of my hand) of driftwood that looks like half of a tiki mask. :)
